BIOGRAPHY

 As someone who values well-roundedness, Ms. Holly Choe has worked in diverse mediums and genres of music: substitute conductor for Boston Youth Symphony Orchestra, Conductor of ALEA III International Composition Competition where she gave three world-premieres, Associate Conductor of the Four Seasons Youth Orchestra, Assistant Conductor of the Shoreline Symphonic Winds, Music Director for Stephen Sondheim’s Into The Woods, Music Director Intern of Chamber Orchestra of Boston, and an Artistic Director Intern with Golden State Pops Orchestra. As an avid supporter of new music and living composers, she has conducted world premieres of living composers from Greece, Mexico, Sweden, Beijing, South Korea, and the USA.

She has participated in other masterclasses with world-class conductors such as Bernard Haitink, Jorma Panula, Sylvia Caduff, Péter Eötvös, Larry Rachleff, Paul Nadler of Met Opera, Nicholas Pasquet, Don Schleicher, Joseph Gifford, Janna Hymes, Diane Wittry, and Kenneth Kiesler.

Ms. Choe is currently pursuing a masters degree in orchestral conducting at Zürich Hochschule der Künste studying with Johannes Schlaefli and an opera conducting minor with Olaf Storbeck. Her first Masters of Music degree is in wind/instrumental conducting from New England Conservatory of Music in Boston, USA.
